Group Managing Director of Global Fleets and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ondo State, Jimoh Ibrahim has dragged the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led caretaker committee of the party to court. The suit, which was filed before a Federal High Court in Abuja is challenging Monday’s conduct of the primary for the party’s governorship candidate for theNovember 26 election in the state. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has barred eight banks from all foreign exchange transactions for breach of extant financial regulations  Thisday, exclusively gathered that they were barred for concealing and failing to remit the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) dollar funds to the federal government’s Treasury Single Account domiciled in the CBN as directed by the Presidency last year. UNESCO Ambassadors Canvass Education of Women to Stem Militancy, Poverty

The newly designated UNESCO ‘ambassadors’ for the FCT and Rivers state, have stressed the need for the three tiers of government in Nigeria to give priority to the education of the girl-child and women. People living at Close 9, Victoria Garden City, Ajah, were gripped with fear last weekend, following the discovery of the lifeless body of a 50-year-old woman in her apartment.
